High School

We don’t care if you like Iggy Azalea, Justin Bieber, or your Grandma’s antique electric organ.

We don’t care how you look, what you wear, or whether you’re rich or poor. We don’t care about your grades or whether or not you are athletic. We don’t care if you dyed your cat’s hair blue or if you stole your uncle’s van to go to the mall. All we want for you is to be ok; to have someone to turn to when things get tough. It’s not easy going through life with no one to trust;  therefore, we invite you to give us a chance to build that trust with you. We invite you to rummage through our games and raid our fridge. 

High school students are one of the main reasons we started the 3rdchair. We believe this time of your life is sometimes the most complicated. In a perfect world, you could talk to your parents, an older sibling, or maybe a teacher. But sometimes that’s not enough. Sometimes you need to talk it out with people who get it. People who won’t get angry with you, people who will listen and won’t interrupt. People who will ask you the right questions and will understand no matter what.

Honestly, we’re honored when you come here and share your life with us.  We take that trust very seriously.  Whatever you tell us, stays with us, guaranteed.  Nobody else hears about it.  Not your parents, not your teachers and not your friends.  It’s just between us.  In our first session, we’ll tell your parents this and they’ll have no choice but to be cool with that.  Obviously, your parents love and care about you and they’ll more than likely understand this.
